Machakhela Gorge + Mountainous Adjara is a journey through the picturesque area of the southwestern region of Adjara, which is located near Batumi.

During the excursion you will admire the architectural sights, local nature and cultural and historical heritage of Georgia.

An excursion to Machakhela will give you unforgettable impressions. The Machakhela Reserve is located on the border with Turkey and is a monument to the history of Georgia. Pristine nature, a mountain river with suspension bridges, a waterfall, enchanting mountain slopes and a road going into the sky. And also awaits you: a museum telling about ancient culture and life, fortresses and ancient weapons; hospitality of local residents and much more.

We can also pick you up from Sarpi, Gonio, Makhinjauri, Chakvi, Kobuleti, Shekvetili and Ureki. Ask the manager for the price.

Program:

First stop: the confluence of the Adjaristskhali and Machakhela rivers.
Mirveti Waterfall, the road to which lies through a fabulous boxwood forest. The silence and views add mystery to this place.
Monument to exclusive Machakhela guns.
Queen Tamar's Arch Bridge in Tskhemlari. We drink coffee with a view of the mountain river (not included) and take photos.
Mountain waterfall.
Ethnographic museum in the building of a former mosque .We will get acquainted with the history of the region, learn about the life of the local population and find out what message is encrypted in the vault of the mosque.
Visiting locals. Getting to know their way of life, wine, chacha. Lunch - national Adjarian dishes: sinori, chirbuli, borano and much more (menu upon agreement). It is also possible to hold a culinary master class (upon request) .And the young cool Tsolikauri wine will perfectly complement our meal.
Return to Batumi.
