Excursion to Borjomi and the cave city Uplistsikhe is an excursion with a very rich program, which includes visiting very significant and large objects in the history of Georgia and its culture. During the trip, you will visit the cave city Uplistsikhe and drink the legendary Borjomi water from the spring.
General information:
Duration: 9 - 11 hours.
Meeting place: we pick you up from where you live (Tbilisi city center).
Transport: Car (up to 3-4 people), Minivan (up to 6 people), Minibus (up to 15-17 people).
Excursion to Borjomi. We will drink the famous Borjomi water from the spring.
We will have a walk in the park. We will also drink warm and cold Borjomi water, learn the history of the park. In conclusion, we will go up on the cable car (tickets not included) and admire the mountain landscapes from a bird's eye view. Lunch (included)
The Uplistsikhe cave complex is the oldest in Georgia. Many rooms are carved into the rock.
The Uplistsikhe cave city was built at the end of the 2nd century BC and is a system of caves and tunnels. There are also several halls that were used in the royal era for ritual ceremonies. We will see many interesting artifacts, visit the place where Queen Tamara was crowned, admire the beautiful views and find out why Georgian winemaking is considered the oldest in the world. At the end, we will go down to the river through a secret exit.
